Welcome to the Youth Development Exchange-International!

The Youth Development Exchange is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth development and empowerment.  We believe in the old African proverb "it takes a village to raise a child."  All members of our global society need to play an active role in nurturing children to help them make the successful transition into adulthood.  Whether you are a parent, educator, community leader, philanthropist or other, we need you to work to secure a prosperous future for all youth. 

Young people also have an important role to play.  As leaders of today, not just tomorrow, they must advocate for their peers and work in partnership with adults to enable them to deliver what youth really need.  By practicing leadership now, young people assure the rest of us that the world will be in capable hands for generations to come.

Youth Development Exchange is partnering with CARIB to produce the Youth Arts Celebration at the World Culture Open Center!  In addition to hosting an exhibit of works by youth from May 17-31, 2008, we are also staging a number of related events.
